Associate of Applied Science Degree

The college offers Associate of Applied Science Degrees (A.A.S.) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and  Vascular Sonography. Both programs are seventy two (72) semester credit hours.  The Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Vascular Sonography programs can be completed in five (5) semesters, twenty (20) months in length. Each semester is fifteen (15)weeks. These programs prepare the student for direct occupational employment.

Associate of Applied Science Degree Programs:

Associate of Applied Science Degree in Vascular Sonography

Established in 2015ne, the Associate of Applied Science degree in Vascular Sonography is 72 semester credit hours and prepares students for employment in Vascular Sonography labs including vein centers.

Program Length: 5 semesters (20 Months) not including transfer credits
Tuition: $28,800 before credit is applied for transfer credits and not including repeated courses.

Registration Fees: $100.

Additional Costs Approximation: $1500 Books, Supplies, Uniform cost.

Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Established in 2016,The Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is 72 semester credit hours and prepares students for Abdominal, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Small parts including Breast and Thyroid sonography employment.

Program Length: 5 semesters (20 Months) not including transfer credits
Tuition: $28,800 before credit is applied for transfer credits and not including repeated courses.

Certificate Program:

Echocardiogram Technician Certificate

Established in 2001,the Echocardiogram Technician program is CAAHEP accredited.  This Cardiac Ultrasound program is seventy three (73) semester credit hours and prepares students for Cardiac Sonography employment.

Program Length: 5 semesters (20 Months) not including transfer credits
Tuition: $22,975 before credit is applied for transfer credits and not including repeated courses.

Registration Fees: $100.

Other Fees $1135

Additional Costs Approximation: $1500 Books, Supplies, Uniform cost.

All programs are designed to ensure that graduates acquire the required theoretical and hands-on training necessary for employment and pass the ARDMS, CCI or ARRT registry exams and acquire entry level positions. All programs require students to complete Externship hours prior to graduation.

License:  Few states require Sonographers to be licensed. these states are  New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Oregon only.

Registration:  Many Employers require Sonographers to be registered. Students and graduates can take the registry exams offered by the following independent agencies.
